Looking for quality and dependable creative help can be a Cracker Jack box and fortune cookie process, especially when you need to address an influx of work and a lack of limbs to attack multiple projects with expertise, consistency and savvy. Finding the right person often elicits surprises, both good and bad.
Granted, my story does start like most of us. I was writing at a pretty young age, striking paper with odd lines of jumbled prose where I could find the space and time. Fast forward to college (past my days as a musician living on gas-station sandwiches and candy bars), where I ventured into a young but growing film studies program at a private university in St. Louis. Two years of lower-level production courses later and I was still looking for a better fit in my academic pursuits. After spending the next four years providing for my family, I landed in a professional writing program at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. My linguistic crux finally burst wide open, leaving no doubt that writing was not just a black-and-white possibility any more, but a very real and very colorful probability in my life.
I am currently living in, and loving with a reckless abandonment of all sensibilities, Music City, USA, otherwise known as Nashville, TN. The current adventure in search marketing includes strategy, logistics and project management in paid search, email and web development.
The previous two years I worked as a copywriter in Houston, Texas. Two years as a Section Editor at a collegiate publication helped set the wheels in motion, then a move to specialization in writing copy for the Web, specifically Search Engine Marketing. At a rather fast-paced online company, I provided content for over 300 direct marketing (not all at once) sites, landing pages, mini offers, an blogs, press releases, banner and flash ads. I also assisted in SEO strategies, including SEO metrics through WebPosition 4 and SEO PR efforts.
I work very hard with each keystroke to ensure every word is high impact, not just flowery prose that aims to spit shine my portfolio.
Do not hesitate to call or email me with thoughts, questions or suggestions, and thank you for taking the time to stop by.
